I am very thankful to my father Theo Strutz, a passionate professional artist, from whom I have been learning and I am still learning about the beauty of arts and the technique of paintings since my early childhood. Since early childhood I had many occasions to work side by side next to my father, learning the art of water color painting first hand from a master. I remember painting in the dunes of Denmark in early childhood, in the lavender fields of Provence or in the middle of temple ruins in Greece.
I am also thankful to my sister, Maria, and my sister in law, Hildegard, who are also active as artists. Please visit their respective web sites and their actual expositions (in real space). When Maria, my sister, visited me in Japan in 2005, it motivated me after a long time to take the brush and do water color paintings again. We were sitting together in front of the Saikouji Temple during the cherry blossom feeling the magic of this very short time when all Japan is covered in white and pink.
In early summer 2005 I joined my parents in Samos where I painted side by side with my father. It gives me the feeling of sharing wonderful moments and doing something passionate together.
