Southern France is a magic place for me. In spring and summer, the landscape is scented with the perfume of herbs and flowers. I love to cook with the "herbes de provence". One favorite  is the lavender which  is cultivated in Provence.
The air seems to be so clear and the sun light sets the colors so vividly into scene. No wonder that this place was a favorite of many of the famous artists of the 18th and 19th century.
